Brian Wingbermuehle

Rockwood Summit High School

A graduating senior and activist, Brian is the adult in the room and representative for Everytown For Gun Safety. He has been featured in The Washington Post, Missouri Times, St. Louis Post Dispatch, and written for Teen Vogue. Outside of SDA Brian volunteers for various candidates and campaigns, as well as works for NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri. 

Sunny Lu

Ladue Horton Watkins High School

Graduating from Ladue high school in 2020, Sunny Lu is passionate about social justice issues that effect minorities. She has been featured in the Washington Post, St. Louis Post Dispatch, and several other media outlets for her work with Students Demand Action St. Louis advocating for common sense gun laws. Sunny strongly believes in the power of storytelling, organization, and rallying to indite societal change. She spends her time telling these stories competing in speech and debate, performing in musicals and dramas, writing for her school's newspaper, taking photos, and making art.

Mahika Mushuni

Marquette High School

A senior at Marquette High School, Mahika plans on attending Ohio State University in the fall. Mahika is passionate about social issues and prison reform. Outside SDA she works on the school newspaper, participates in Youth and Government, and has been featured in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Washington Post, and more. 

Abby Hegger

Lindberg High School

​Abby is a current junior at Lindbergh High School and part of the graduating class of 2019. She has been featured in the South County Times for her work on the March For Our Lives. She is an activist and representative for Everytown for Gun Safety. Outside of SDA she is involved in various school activities, volunteer work, and work on political campaigns.
