We, the students of Saint Louis, demand action. We are tired of thoughts and prayers. We demand meaningful action from our state legislators against gun violence, and we demand it now. Too many of our fellow students have suffered because of gun violence, and we have had enough. We demand that Not One More student falls victim to gun violence. We demand that our legislators create and vote for common sense gun legislation, including but not limited to:

  1. Requiring a background check prior to the transfer of a firearm between licensed and unlicensed parties,

  2. Prohibiting the private transfer of possession of assault weapons, 50 caliber rifles or large capacity ammunition magazines,

  3. Requiring all firearms dealers to obtain a state license,

  4. Requiring gun owners to obtain a license, register their firearms, and report lost or stolen firearms,

  5. Limiting the number of firearms that may be purchased at one time,

  6. Imposing a minimum waiting period of 72 hours on firearm purchases,

  7. Significantly regulate the sale and purchase of ammunition,

  8. Not allowing concealed carry within schools, places of worship, and public transportation.

With these points and more in mind, we march. We organize, gather and demand action.
